Terms of Service
Version 3 · in effect from 28 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and ClaimPartner Operations LLC for using our services. Part A applies to every service; Part B adds what is particular to each one. Please read them; by creating an account or using the services you accept them.
Part A · General terms
1. The agreement
These terms are between ClaimPartner Operations LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, 8 The Grn Ste A, Dover, DE 19901 ("we", "us"), and the person or organization using the services ("you"). If you sign up for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms for it, and "you" means that organization. You must be at least 18.
The services are the websites, apps, APIs and other services we offer under these terms: today extract_insurance, at extractinsurance.dev and its subdomains, and any name or address that replaces them.
The agreement is made of these terms, the Part B terms for each service you use, our Privacy Policy, and any order or signed agreement between us. If we have signed an agreement with you, it wins where it differs from these terms. Otherwise the Part B terms win over Part A for their service.
A person accepts these terms, never software. AI agents and other tools that use your account or API keys act on your behalf, and you are responsible for what they do.
2. Your account and keys
- Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.
- Keep your sign-in, API keys and webhook secrets confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and keys. Tell us right away at hello@extractinsurance.dev if you think one is being misused.
- Account owners decide who is on the team and what they can do. We may revoke a key that we believe is compromised.
3. Your documents and results
- You keep all rights to what you send us (your documents and other content) and to the results we return for it.
- You allow us to use them to provide, secure and support the services, and to improve them as section 4 and the Privacy Policy describe.
- You confirm you have the right to send us each document and to allow the uses in these terms, including for the personal data of the people named in it, and that you have given any notices and obtained any consents the law requires.
- Insurance documents can hold nonpublic personal information protected by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and state insurance data security laws. We keep it confidential, protect it with the safeguards in the Privacy Policy, and use and disclose it only to provide the services and as these terms allow.
- Don't send health information protected by HIPAA unless we have signed a business associate agreement with you.
4. Data we derive
To provide and improve the services, we may create and keep data derived from the documents we process and from how the services are used: information about the structure of documents, de-identified data about their contents, and usage and performance data. De-identified data doesn't identify you, your clients or the businesses and people your documents are about, and we don't try to re-identify it. We may use derived data for any of our services, including benchmarks and published statistics, which show only combined figures that don't single out any business or customer. It is ours, and it continues after your account closes.
No training on your documents. We don't train AI models on your documents or results, and the model providers we use don't either.
5. Results
Results are produced by software, including AI models. They can be wrong or incomplete, even when they come with a quote. Check results before you rely on them, especially for coverage, claims, underwriting, pricing or legal decisions. The services don't give insurance, legal or other professional advice, and don't decide anything for you.
6. Prices and payment
- Prices are on our pricing page, or in your order or signed agreement. Paid use is paid in advance with prepaid credits, which can be used for any of our paid services unless a price says otherwise.
- We may offer free documents, free use or promotional credits. Their limits are shown when they are given; they have no cash value and expire as stated.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new prices apply from then on. Prices exclude taxes, which you pay where they apply.
- Credits belong to the account that bought them and can't be transferred or exchanged for cash. Unused credits expire 12 months after the purchase they came from. They aren't refundable, except for a billing error, use we confirm wasn't authorized, when we close your account without cause or end a service you paid for (section 13), or where the law requires a refund.
- Automatic top-up. If you turn it on, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method, whenever your balance falls below the amount you chose, enough to bring it back up to the amount you chose, up to the monthly maximum you set. Each charge comes with an invoice. You can turn it off or change the amounts at any time on the billing page.
7. Acceptable use
Don't:
- send documents you have no right to send, or use the services for anything illegal or for unlawful discrimination;
- try to get into another account, test or break our security, or overload the services;
- get around limits, for example by opening several accounts to get more free documents;
- resell or provide the services to others as your own without a written agreement with us;
- copy the services, use them to build a competing one, or use results or outputs to train or improve an AI model that competes with them;
- use the services from a country under a US embargo, if you are on a US sanctions list, or in breach of US export laws.
8. Our rights
The services, their software, schemas and documentation are ours or our licensors'. These terms give you the right to use the services while your account is in good standing, nothing more. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely. We may name you as a customer, with your name and logo, unless you ask us not to.
9. Confidentiality
We keep your documents and results confidential and use them only as these terms and the Privacy Policy describe.
10. Changes to the services
- We improve the services continuously, and features may change, be added or be removed.
- We give at least 30 days' notice before a change that stops something working in the API as it works today, unless security or the law needs it sooner.
- Features marked beta or preview are offered as they are. They may change or end at any time.
11. Companies that work for us
We use other companies to run the services (subprocessors). They are listed in the Privacy Policy, which says how we tell you before adding one. We are responsible for their work for us.
12. Availability
We work to keep the services running, but we don't promise any level of availability and don't offer service credits, unless a signed agreement says otherwise. The services may be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control.
13. Ending the agreement
- You can stop using the services at any time and ask us to delete your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the services or others at risk, or doesn't pay. Where reasonable, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
- We may end a service, or all of them, with at least 30 days' notice.
- If we close your account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, or end a service, you can download your results until it closes. After that, the account's data is deleted as the Privacy Policy describes.
- Sections 3, 4, 5, 8, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
14. Disclaimer
Apart from what these terms say, the services are provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all warranties to the extent the law allows, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
15. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows: neither of us is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them.
16. Your responsibility to us
You will defend us and cover our losses from claims by others that arise from documents you sent, or uses you allowed, without the right to, or from your breach of section 7 or of the law.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Delaware, and both of us accept their jurisdiction.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a number and the date it takes effect, and we keep every version: ask us at hello@extractinsurance.dev for the one you agreed to. If a change matters, we email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect; continuing to use the services after that means you accept the new version. Changes that don't affect your rights take effect when we post them, such as clearer wording, Part B terms for a new service, or a new name, address or contact details for the services.
19. General
- Notices. We send notices by email to account owners or in the app. You send notices to hello@extractinsurance.dev.
- Transfer. We may transfer this agreement to a company in our group, or to a buyer or successor of the business or of a service, and will tell you. You may transfer it only with our written consent.
- Events outside our control. Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, such as outages of the internet, of our providers or of power, disasters, war or government action. This doesn't excuse paying what is owed.
- The whole agreement. This agreement is the whole agreement between us about the services and replaces anything said before. If a part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right isn't giving it up. We are independent parties, and nobody else has rights under this agreement.

B1. Extraction
Extraction reads insurance documents you send and returns structured data, with the quote and page each value was read from. It is charged per document, as below, plus the AI model usage at our cost, charged once, at what it actually cost, however many documents a file counts as.
What counts as one document
Usually one file is one document. A file counts as more than one only in the cases below, and each result tells you what it counted as and why.
| What you send | Counts as | Example |
|---|---|---|
| A file holding one document (PDF, scan, photo, Word file), at any length | 1 | A 120-page policy: 1 |
| A file holding several separate documents, such as merged policies, or a policy, a loss run and an invoice in one PDF | 1 for each document in it. Where we can't tell for sure that a new document starts, the pages stay together and count once. | A PDF with a policy, a loss run and an invoice: 3 |
| An email | Each attachment, counted as above, plus the email's own text when we read something from it | An email with 2 attachments and a request in its text: 3 |
| A ZIP file | Each file inside, counted as above (up to 50 documents per ZIP) | A ZIP of 12 certificates: 12 |
| A PDF or scan that is a long list (a loss run, register, bordereau or schedule) with more than 50 rows | 1 for every 50 rows, rounded up | A loss run listing 120 claims: 3 |
| A policy that contains a long list (for example a schedule of 200 vehicles) | 1. The policy stays one document. | A policy with 200 vehicles: 1 |
| A spreadsheet (Excel, CSV), at any size | 1 | A 10,000-row bordereau: 1 |
| A document your workflow refuses, or one with nothing in it your workflow asks for | 0. You pay only the model usage it took to find out. | |
| A job that fails | 0, and no model usage |
Why long lists in PDFs count by rows. In a PDF or scan, the AI models write out every row of a list with the quote it came from, and one reading can only write so much. In our tests, every row was right up to 75 rows of policies and 150 rows of claims; beyond that, a single reading failed as a whole. So we read a long list in parts of up to 50 rows, which keeps every row accurate, and join the parts into one result. A spreadsheet doesn't have this limit: its columns are read once and every row is copied exactly, so it stays one document at any size.
